KIKK-Festival

The KIKK festival was founded in 2011 and focuses on building bridges in the fields of art, creativity, science, culture and technological innovation. KIKK festival is at the confluence of events, the production of artistic works and, propelling new creative and artistic projects.

Every year, KIKK organises the eponymous international festival in Namur, celebrating digital practices in the broadest sense.

KIKK's contribution to the results of the programme will be through the KIKK festival and will focus on:

1/ The organisation of conferences and workshops on cultural decolonisation and digital colonialism with the participation of African artists/researchers (including the diaspora).

2/ Organising the AFRIKIKK exhibition. In order to deconstruct the paradigm of universal technology and standardised needs, KIKK wishes to take into account African knowledge systems (including the diaspora) by approaching digital art from the point of view of the current practices and research of African digital artists, and by paying attention to themes such as Afrofeminism, Afrotopos, intangible heritage, and so on.
