Organized by Yolé! Africa OUR partner based in Goma, the Ishango meetings is an annual gathering of artists, intellectuals and communities which consists of reinventing the place of art in the contemporary world. The meetings owe their name to Ishango bone, a mathematical instrument dating from the Paleolithic and which represents indigenous knowledge, the oldest in the world. In addition, ISHANGO meetings are an opportunity to discuss the definition of society and the resolution of social and ecological problems.
