Africalia's action as a development player is in the spirit of several international initiatives and is based on reference texts, in particular :
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Target 4.7 recognises the role of cultural diversity and the contribution of culture to education policies; target 8.3 recognises the importance of formulating economic development policies that include activities focusing on creativity and innovation; target 11.4 recognises the importance of safeguarding cultural assets and natural resources in environmental and urban development policies; target 12b advocates sustainable production and consumption patterns that take account of local culture.
