Enabel Burundi: co-construction workshop

At the end of September, Africalia was in Bujumbura to lead a workshop on the co-construction of cultural and artistic activities around the intervention component on post-basic education of Enabel Burundi in the provinces of Kirundo and Cibitoke. The "Post-basic education" component aims to contribute to inclusive and equitable access to post-basic education and the retention of young girls in a safe and protective environment.

This workshop brought together a number of stakeholders with diverse profiles around the issues of the right to education for all: artists, cultural operators, civil society organisations working on gender-based violence (GBV) in schools, school department directors, administration officials and the Enabel team.

For 3 days, they were led to build cultural and artistic activities together in order to contribute to achieving the results of the Post-Basic Education axis and this in order to encourage the support of the populations and for them to become actors of change.
