After two years of being held online due to the covid-19 pandemic, the organisers of the Doadoa festival were delighted to announce the return of the festival to Kampala (Uganda) on 24 and 25 May 2024.
Initiated by Bayimba Foundation, Doadoa is a "market festival" dedicated to the performing arts in the East African region. It also serves as a platform for artists, festival directors, producers, managers and all stakeholders in the performing arts sector to foster connections and facilitate partnerships to stimulate growth in the performing arts.
To this end, Doadoa showcases talent and organises workshops, panels and masterclasses to equip participants with the knowledge and skills they need to understand and grasp the challenges facing the industry.
