Africalia is launching a call for applications for Koola Kampala, a business incubation programme for cultural and creative entrepreneurs based in Kampala which we will implement jointly with The Bold Woman Fund. The programme is aimed at strengthening Uganda’s cultural and creative industries through structured business support, mentorship, and skills development for cultural entrepreneurs.

Who?
This call for applications is destined for cultural and creative businesses based in Kampala and run by young entrepreneurs above the age of 18. In order to be eligible, the entrepreneurs must have been running a legally registered business active in the cultural and creative industries for at least a year and already be generating revenue.
The selection process will focus on candidates’ motivation and why they feel they would benefit from strengthening in business management and growth strategies. 15-20 businesses will be shortlisted for the pre-incubation phase of the programme, where they will receive tailored group and individual coaching. After this phase, 12 finalists will be selected for the main incubation programme.
When?
The program will run for 12 months, starting in July 2025.
