This third edition of the Africa all short is once again honouring directors who express themselves through the short film, an audiovisual form that is increasingly popular in Africa through numerous African festivals in both French and English.
We have drawn on a number of them to make this selection, which includes animated, fiction and documentary films. This edition reflects a hybrid genre that is beginning to emerge with the democratisation of equipment on the continent. The stories, contexts, themes and characters explored in these thirteen films form a multi-faceted composition that takes us to the four corners of the continent. This compilation reveals the abundant creativity and narrative talent of all the African short film makers featured in the collection. Africa all short.
