In Black Letters

In black letters is a selective anthology bringing together poets who have left their mark on the International Decade for People of African Descent (2015-2024) in French-speaking Belgium.
It brings together the award-winning authors: Lisette My Neza (Public Poet Brussels), Lisette Lombé (National Poetess), Marie Darah (European Slam Champion), Julie Lombe, Gioia Kayaga, Huguette Izobimpa (Urban Words Prize), Joëlle Sambi (associate artist of the National Theatre) and Raissa Yowali.
The collection is directed by L-Slam, a feminist collective of poetesses from Liège. This multicultural and intergenerational collective has been organizing slam workshops, podiums and publications since 2015.
