Sankara Legacy Act II

Act II

The event, most of which will take place at Senghor, Etterbeek's cultural centre, will feature the following activities:

  • Burkina Faso 2014" photo exhibition will open the Sankara Legacy festival on 13 April at Espace Ochola.
  • Concerts by Smockey and Sam's K Le Jah as well as Seydou Boro. DJs will be mixing Afro sounds from the 70s with contemporary mixed rhythms.
  • Debates with a panel of guests to place Sankara in the context of the political, economic and geopolitical issues of the day.
  • The documentary "La révolution à main nue, la trajectoire d'un peuple, Burkina Faso" (in French)co-directed by Hans Georges Eberl and Moussa Ouédraogo, will be screened in the presence of director Hans Georges Eberl.
  • I can hear the roar of a woman's silence" theatre production.
  • The "Afropean Echo" radio programme will be broadcast live from the Senghor on Radio Panik 105.4, with the public in attendance.
