A few words about your artistic career
25 major creations, 9 national and international tours, over 600 shows performed. Best Actress at the FlTD-BURKINA in 2008 and at the Lomé Film Festival in 2019; Burkina Battante Woman Award ''BUMO 2017'', storytelling category; Tribute received at the Carthage Theatre Days 2018.
How long have you been an artist?
I have a 19-year artistic career (as a storyteller since 2001 and as a theatre actress from 2006).
Why did you apply for this scholarship? How will the scholarship support you?
This grant will enable me to work in optimal conditions that encourage inspiration. In this way, I will be able to produce a good work of artistic creation in the service of the fight against covid-19 and to show that culture is a powerful adjuvant for strengthening resilience in the face of various crises.
What are your concrete artistic objectives after this residency?
Produce a filmed poetic storytelling show in the form of a soap opera; and broadcast the soap operas on digital platforms and social networks.

How did you feel during the residency? And afterwards?
The beginning of the residency wasn't easy for me. I had no inspiration. I couldn't get my mind moving and I had a lot of questions in my head.
What's more, every day there was a news item telling us that this or that activity had been cancelled.
But I managed to close those doors in my mind that were troubling me so that I could really be in residence. The residency gave me hope, it made me realise that you can see other horizons. I can readjust my shooting shoulder, even change places without leaving my target.
This residence woke me up. It took me away from the darkness I was heading towards. I was able to create a work as I had imagined it.
