Objectives of the call for proposals
- The artistic proposals selected are intended to provoke reflection on the world of tomorrow, offering a response to societal demands in Belgium and internationally, to dysfunctional North-South relations or to economic, health or environmental challenges.
- The proposal must be the result of a collaboration between one or more artists and a project organisation, and must bring together different artistic disciplines. With the aim of supporting and/or developing bridges between cultural operators and artists from different disciplines, proposals initiated in a spirit of partnership and co-creation will be favoured.
- The exhibition will showcase the work of artists from sub-Saharan Africa and Afro-descendants.
- The aim of the proposal will be to overcome stereotypes, negative perceptions, polarisation and discrimination based on belonging to a minority or a social division. It will promote social cohesion, tolerance and mutual respect.
