This 10th edition will be in keeping with MASA's original project: to become a key event for the cultural development of the African performing arts.

This year, 64 troops from Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and the Pacific. 7 disciplines of the performing arts will be represented: music, dance, theatre, storytelling, comedy, street arts and slam. It's an opportunity for cultural operators and the general public alike to familiarise themselves with the diversity of the performing arts, as well as the wealth of contemporary artistic scenes from every continent.






The theme of this year's edition "What economic models for the performing arts? will raise the issue of sustainable funding for culture in Africa.




Press conference

Africalia will have the pleasure of welcoming MASA's Managing Director to Brussels to present the Market at a press conference to be held on 16 January at 10.30 am at the Secretariat of the ACP Group of States.

The conference is aimed at cultural operators, journalists and the general public.

The presentation will be followed by a cocktail reception.
