Sous le nom de MOZALISI (qui signifie « créateur » en lingala), Africalia met en œuvre deux programmes d’entrepreneuriat en RDC. A Kinshasa, the MOZALISI-KIN programme is deployed by Africalia in partnership with the incubator Ingenious City. The MOZALISI-L'SHI programme supports entrepreneurs based in Lubumbashi and is run by Africalia in partnership with the incubator UKAMILI Digital City.
The aim of the MOZALISI programme is to consolidate Kinshasa's and Lubumbashi's enterprises operating in the cultural and creative industries (CCI), whose main areas of activity are the creation, development, production, reproduction, promotion, distribution or marketing of goods, services and activities with a cultural, artistic and/or heritage content.
Through a 12-month incubation programme designed specifically to meet the needs of entrepreneurs in the creative and cultural sector, the MOZALISI-KIN and MOZALISI-L'SHI programmes are aimed at entrepreneurs in the sector who want to consolidate their business in order to meet the challenges facing young companies and ensure their long-term success.
The MOZALISI programme is based on the conviction that successful businesses play an essential economic role in structuring and developing the cultural and creative ecosystem in which they operate, by supporting a network of partners and suppliers, by creating dignified jobs for young people, and by being bearers of innovation on the economic and social levels.
After a selection process in February, MOZALISI-KIN kicked off in March-April 2024. The first phase of the incubation programme of MOZALISI-L'SHI, for which the participating entrepreneurs are currently being selected, will start in February 2025.
