Finally, in Zimbabwe Nhimbe Trust and Afrikera Arts Trust.

However, although the programme that was introduced has received a positive response, Africalia has had to face a significant budget cut, as have other players in the field of cooperation. This has undoubtedly led us to make some complicated choices while maintaining our ambitions. In the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, our approach has developed along 6 lines, including (1) strengthening the governance of associations and the networking of cultural players, (2)advocacy to convince public authorities to provide more funding for cultural initiatives aimed at developing CCIs, (3) professionalising skills, (4) the production of high-quality cultural and artistic worksa plus (5) wide distribution of works and finally (6) the ability to generate revenue. In Belgium, the aims to improve the supply of and access to quality African cultural products and services working with structural partners and other stakeholders. It also aims to make Belgian cultural players aware of their responsibilities and challenge them as players in the ECMS with a view to socio-economic and political innovation and creativity.

What's more, with its experience and expertise in supporting cultural and creative entrepreneurship, particularly through the Afrique CréativeAfricalia will begin a programme of support in 3 countries, including Uganda, Burkina Faso and the Democratic Republic of Congo, in partnership with local incubators, benefiting more than 40 cultural and creative businesses.
