From January to April 2026, as part of the project Jeunesse Cr\u00e9ative project,<\/a>, an initiative of Enabel in the DRC, Africalia brought together 14 cultural organisations based in Lubumbashi for a support program. The programme's objective was to strengthen their capacities through four training modules, in order to improve the administrative, artistic, and strategic management of their activities in the cultural and creative industries. The program culminated on Friday, April 17th, 2026, with a certificate presentation ceremony for the participants and an engaging roundtable discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four targeted training sessions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The programme officially began on January 20th, 2026 with the first module entitled \"Cultural Administration\". Led by Luc Mayitoukou, a trainer, manager and cultural entrepreneur based in Dakar, this module aimed to introduce cultural operators to the professional management standards in the cultural industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From March 16th to 20th, 2026, the second module, dedicated to digital communication and marketing, was led by Ken A\u00efcha Sy, a digital communication expert, journalist, and multidisciplinary artist. This session enabled participants to better target their communication towards their audiences, particularly consumers of cultural goods and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third module, entitled \"Mobilising Financial Resources\", was held from April 13 to 17, 2026. Led by Ouafa Belgacem, an expert in fundraising and project management, this module aimed to train operators to respond effectively to calls for applications and to mobilise funding from different donors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the fourth and final module, focusing on "Formulation and Management of Cultural and Artistic Projects," was led by Nicolas \u00c9tienne Sohou Ngani, a cultural engineer and specialist in cultural industries. This training aimed to equip participants with the skills necessary for the design, planning, and management of structured and sustainable cultural projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finale in style<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The final module concluded with a roundtable discussion moderated by trainer Nicolas \u00c9tienne Sohou Ngani and Judith Benny Tshienda. The closing ceremony also included the presentation of certificates to the 14 cultural operators who participated in the entire training program. Thanks to the practical tools acquired during the programme, they can now contribute to further shaping the rich cultural landscape of Lubumbashi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
