{"id":21532,"date":"2025-06-13T12:41:34","date_gmt":"2025-06-13T10:41:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/africalia.be\/appel-koola-kampala\/"},"modified":"2025-10-06T20:25:38","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T18:25:38","slug":"call-koola-kampala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/africalia.be\/en\/appel-koola-kampala\/","title":{"rendered":"Koola Kampala Call for Applications: Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>** CALL CLOSED **<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Africalia is launching a call for applications for <strong>Koola Kampala<\/strong>a <strong>incubation program <\/strong>aimed at cultural and creative entrepreneurs based in Kampala, implemented jointly with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theboldwomanfund.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">The Bold Woman Fund<\/a>This program aims to strengthen the cultural and creative industries in Uganda through structured business support, mentoring and skills development for cultural entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/africalia.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Africalia_APPLICATION-CALL_JUNE-2025_GREEN-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19819\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kampala, Uganda<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This call for applications is open to cultural and creative businesses based in Kampala and run by young entrepreneurs aged 18 and over. To be eligible, entrepreneurs must run a legally registered business, have been active in the cultural and creative industries for at least one year, and already be generating revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection process will focus on candidates&#039; motivation and why they believe they could benefit from capacity building in business management and growth strategies. 15 to 20 companies will be shortlisted for the pre-incubation phase of the program, during which they will receive tailored individual and group support.
