As part of the intervention Jeunesse Cr\u00e9ative project,<\/a>, an initiative ofEnabel<\/a> in the DRC, where Africalia is implementing a component focused on improving cultural services for young people, we are launching a call for applications for young singers based in Mbuji-Mayi<\/strong>The 10 selected artists will benefit from a series of managerial and artistic modules<\/strong> with the aim of production of a collective album<\/strong>The call thus aims to strengthen music professionals, promote synergies and structure the musical ecosystem of Kasai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This call for applications is open to singers aged 18 to 35 who regularly perform as solo artists and are based in Mbuji-Mayi. Applicants will be assessed on their vocal abilities, potential for artistic development, and motivation to share their acquired knowledge. Applications from female artists and artists who use Kasaian rhythms and traditional or tradi-modern musical styles are strongly encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The project runs from July 2025 to June 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Interested artists are invited to complete the application form<\/a> online. The application file must include: profile information<\/strong> of the candidate, a brief video<\/strong> (2 minutes max) of a cappella singing demonstration and a administrative document proving identity<\/strong>. Applications are open until June 22, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (Mbuji Mayi time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
