Africalia had the pleasure of supporting the first edition of the festival \u201c\u00a0Word of Mouth<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb from viernulvier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spoken word is one of the main pillars of the curatorial programme of Viernulvier, our partner based in Ghent, and is currently receiving increased attention. Slam and spoken word are becoming increasingly popular and the genre is also booming. Led by the young programmer Sarah Bekambo, this festival is also supported by the CBK poetry slam, which brings together the best slam poets in Dutch-speaking Belgium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of this project is to connect the biennial Spoken Word programme and the Viernulvier audience with the international network of this tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
