The Great Lakes Creative Producers Lab is a five-day coaching and mentoring program that aims to expand participants\u2019 professional networks and production expertise through a series of hands-on workshops and one-on-one sessions with local and international industry mentors. The residential program is designed to sharpen emerging producers\u2019 creative instincts and develop their communication and problem-solving skills at all stages of their feature film project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last September, Africalia signed a tripartite agreement with Aftales Film Hub and Kiasi Productions, the two initiators of this Lab, by financing the participation costs of the workshop for two producers. Africalia also provides a development grant to two producers to develop their films. Finally, a travel grant is awarded to a producer at the Durban Film Market in Africa. (2024-2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
