Organized since 2005 by the 3TAMIS association, this unmissable event highlights audiovisual media in the service of civic education while offering other forms of artistic expression, such as music, dance, percussion, and graphic and plastic exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, special attention was paid to local cinema. The directors travelled across the three communes of Bukavu to offer travelling open-air screenings, allowing a wide audience to discover their films in the city's public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional screenings took place at the French Institute for three days, accompanied by masterclasses led by guests from the world of cinema. Among them were the Nigerian director Amina Abdoulaye Mamani, Clarisse Muvuba, head of the Kinshasa Women's Film Festival, Douglas Masamuna, organizer of the Kidogokidogo Festival in Lubumbashi, and the Burundian director Kube, who shared their expertise with the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

24 films participated in the highly anticipated local competition. A jury composed of professionals invited by 3TAMIS selected and awarded prizes to five works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firmly anchored in the Pan-African cultural landscape, 3TAMIS is a member of the Cin\u00e9ma Num\u00e9rique Ambulant network, the P\u00f4le Culturel Est, Liboke DRC, and the Civil Society of South Kivu. Through the Bukavu Festival, 3TAMIS pays tribute to culture as a vector of peace and development, thus contributing to the region's artistic and social influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
