1. The Showcase<\/h2>\n

\"Appel_proposition_La_Vitrine\"
Appel_proposition_La_Vitrine<\/figcaption><\/figure>La Vitrine is an old shipping container transformed into a nomadic exhibition space that will be moved to different locations in Brussels. The exhibition will remain in each commune for three weeks, with a new decor and new artists for each location, in particular Afro-descendant artists. La Vitrine aims to distance itself from the image of art galleries, which are often considered too cold. It's not a question of entering a space with precise codes, but of being present in the street where the codes are shared. <\/p>\n

2. Making Men - Over-masculinity or violence with a delay<\/h2>\n

Call for proposal_Making_men_dunia_dance<\/figcaption><\/figure>Making Men is a co-creation of an Afro-contemporary dance performance that tackles the theme of gender and, more specifically, masculinity: its evolution and impact on our society, particularly on young men. The aim is to co-create a choreographic language based on a mix of artistic and cultural ideas. The creation period will be followed by a series of professional performances and workshops for young people in secondary schools, in which the dancers will participate as facilitators. <\/p>\n

3. Sankara Legacy Act II<\/h2>\n

Call_proposal_Sankara<\/figcaption><\/figure>Sankara Legacy Act II is the second phase of an event taking the form of a multidisciplinary festival to be held on 13, 14 and 15 April 2018. The aim of the project is to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of Thomas Sankara, President of Burkina Faso, who was assassinated on 15 October 1987 after only 4 years at the head of the country. Through a variety of artistic proposals and forms, the project will go beyond commemoration to question the legacy of Thomas Sankara in the light of our times.<\/p>\n

4. Get up.be<\/h2>\n

\"Call_proposal_Standing_men\"
Call_proposal_Standing_men<\/figcaption><\/figure>Debout.Be is a contemporary art project conceived by visual artist Bruce Clarke in memory of the victims of the genocide in Rwanda in 1994. The project involves the permanent painting of a standing figure on a Brussels facade. The work can be seen at 34-36 rue du Meiboom, 1000 Brussels, and is part of the City of Brussels' \"PARCOURS Street Art\".<\/p>\n

5. Missing <\/h2>\n

Call_proposal_Missing<\/figcaption><\/figure>Missing is a multidisciplinary performance combining video, dance and text about a boy who talks to his absent father. Adams Mensah puts himself in the head of an eleven-year-old boy who has never seen his father. Adams describes the boy's confusion, lack, hope and disappointment. Missing is an accessible yet critical performance that aims to go beyond the images that go hand in hand with the themes of migration and globalisation. <\/p>\n

6. PRISM <\/h2>\n

\"Call_proposal_Prism\"
Call_proposal_Prism<\/figcaption><\/figure>In her film PRISM, director An van Dienderen aims to experiment with the issues behind the exquisite corpse through co-creation. In this way, she wants to bring together specific lighting strategies that a group of filmmakers from different backgrounds use to illuminate different types of skin. This project looks at the opposition between reality and fiction, imagination and observation, representation and experience, taking as its starting point the importance of the image in our intercultural society.<\/p>\n
\n
