Creatives Garage is a multidisciplinary collective space that offers creative people the chance to network, share ideas, collaborate, learn, access the market and push back boundaries.<\/p>\n

Creatives Garage works with visual and performing artists and technology innovators who are agents of social change in today's society.<\/p>\n

In a world governed by injustice, creative expression is a powerful tool for overcoming that injustice. For Creatives Garage, true social transformation is based not only on creativity, but also on the fight against oppression in all its facets.<\/p>\n

Creatives Garage's strategic objectives are :<\/strong><\/p>\n

- Social innovation<\/em>\u00a0Researching, developing and supporting solutions to society's day-to-day problems;<\/p>\n

- Cultural networks<\/em>\u00a0Creating a thriving creative network through community building, awareness programmes and partnerships with creative hubs to extend the reach of Kenya's creative industries;<\/p>\n

- Durability<\/em>\u00a0To ensure the ongoing management of a sustainable platform for creative talent to develop through realistic financial planning, brand development, regular training and venture capital investment;<\/p>\n

- Cultural activism<\/em>\u00a0To challenge perceptions and raise awareness of social issues by using art as a tool for social change.<\/p>\n

Programme 2017-2021<\/em> Africalia: Africalia helps with staff costs and supports creative artists in accessing the market by strengthening their skills in managing networks or administrative and financial aspects; training activities and cultural decentralisation.<\/p>\n

Programme 2022-2026 :<\/em> Africalia assists and supports the organisation in (1) strengthening associative governance and networking cultural players, (2) advocacy, (3) professionalising skills, (4) producing quality cultural and artistic works, (5) disseminating works more widely and (6) generating income.<\/p>\n
