As Belgium's leading institution for contemporary art, WIELS<\/a> is dedicated to the presentation and production of temporary exhibitions by national and international artists, both emerging talents and established names. WIELS is a place for creation and dialogue, where art and architecture form the basis for a discussion of current issues, not only through the exhibition programme but also through the activities and events that complement it.<\/p>\n

As part of its partnership with Africalia in Education for Global Citizenship and Solidarity, WIELS would like to invite African artists for creative residencies (between 3 and 6 months). The WIELS residency programme aims to stimulate exchanges and collective encounters between the artists in residence and the local and international art scene, as well as with the public, through presentations, visits and one-off events.<\/p>\n\n
