A multidisciplinary cultural venue, Les Halles de Schaerbeek<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0capture and crystallise fundamental movements in art and society. They offer an ideal space for reinventing the forms of entertainment, going beyond the classic division between creators on one side and spectators on the other. Shaking things up, Les Halles resonates with the desire for participation and commitment, whether selfish or collective, that characterises the digital age.<\/p>\n

As part of the partnership with Africalia's Global Citizenship and Solidarity Education programme<\/strong>Les Halles de Schaerbeek would like to invite young emerging artists and students from African art schools to take part in The April meeting<\/strong><\/a>. The aim of this activity, the first of which was held in 2017, is to get young people from different countries and continents to think, invent, share and create together based on predefined themes and contributions from a number of thinkers. It is a mutual learning process, open to the public and encouraging participation.<\/p>\n
