Afrifogo - House of the Word<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

La Maison de la Parole is a platform for the spoken word arts that aims to professionalise the storytelling sector in West Africa. Based in Bobo-Dioulasso, the organisation works to collect, transcribe and disseminate stories, and to professionalise storytellers and the associations that bring them together.<\/p>\n

It is currently active in three countries (Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger) where the art of oratory is part of the local cultural heritage. The storytellers are convinced of the need to join forces to take concerted and effective action. The platform enables West African storytellers to pool the achievements of each member country.<\/p>\n

Programme 2017-2018<\/em> Africalia: Africalia supports the development of skills such as association, administrative and financial management, training for storytellers and dissemination through the storytelling caravan.<\/p>\n
