Son fondateur, Julius Mwelu, initie et forme quelques 70 enfants et jeunes \u00e0 la photographie tout en veillant \u00e0 ce qu\u2019ils soient assidus \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole. La Fondation a \u00e9galement mis en place une biblioth\u00e8que et un espace de travail o\u00f9 les jeunes peuvent venir s\u2019isoler pour y faire leurs devoirs. La Fondation Mwelu m\u00e8ne donc diverses actions visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les moyens d\u2019existence des jeunes, en d\u00e9veloppant leurs aptitudes essentielles \u00e0 la vie quotidienne. Les jeunes utilisent la photographie ainsi que la vid\u00e9o pour raconter leur quotidien, communiquer leurs probl\u00e8mes et leurs espoirs au monde ext\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n<p>Pour professionnaliser davantage leur offre de formation, la Fondation Mwelu est devenue un membre actif du r\u00e9seau ASMO (Alliance of Slum Media Organisations). Ce dernier permet aux membres d\u2019\u00e9changer des ressources et de l\u2019expertise plus facilement et de mieux ajuster le programme de leur cours.<\/p>\n<p>Le livre photo <a href=\"https:\/\/africalia.be\/julius-mwelu-nl\/\"><strong>Julius Mwelu &#038;
