Taccems Group<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Groupe Taccems, based in Kisangani, is a group of around fifteen actors. It specialises in action and intervention theatre. It also assists local companies in training actors and other professions in the sector.<\/p>\n

The Taccems Group manages a cultural space: the Espace Ngoma, a genuine space for artists to express themselves and be creative. It is also behind the Festival Ngoma. This festival is held every year in Kisangani and features a number of shows by professional troupes, as well as amateur troupes and school groups.<\/p>\n

The Taccems Group's flagship project is the P\u00f4le Culturel Est<\/em> which aims to promote cultural decentralisation and networking in 3 provinces of the DRC (Province Orientale, North and South Kivu) as well as in Rwanda and Burundi. Visit P\u00f4le Culturel Est<\/em> aims to professionalise operators and disseminate plays in the Grand Lacs region.<\/p>\n

Programme 2017-2021:<\/em> Africalia supports the strengthening of associative, administrative and financial management; theatre training; cultural decentralisation and marketing through the circulation of plays in the east of the country as well as in Rwanda and Burundi.<\/p>\n

Africalia also supports Taccems' ability to act as a federating and multiplier organisation and to support initiatives within the P\u00f4le Est network, such as members' film and audiovisual training courses. 3Tamis<\/strong><\/a> and Yole Africa<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Programme 2022-2026 :<\/em> Africalia assists and supports the organisation in (1) strengthening associative governance and networking cultural players, (2) advocacy, (3) professionalising skills, (4) producing quality cultural and artistic works, (5) disseminating works more widely and (6) generating income.<\/p>\n
