CNA Africa 2<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Cin\u00e9ma Num\u00e9rique Ambulant Afrique (CNA Afrique) is a pan-African network of associations whose mission is to ensure the distribution of African films on digital media in rural areas. Based in Ouagadougou, \"the Capital of African Cinema\", the CNA Afrique currently brings together seven national CNAs: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. This network is the result of pooling the strengths of all the NACs, with a view to ensuring the long-term future of their activities and boosting the dynamism of the NACs. Its main missions are to provide technical and financial support to national branches; harmonise employee training policies and financial practices; and manage film rights.<\/p>\n

The aim of the NACs is to break the \"cinema digital divide\" by giving rural populations access to quality cinema through the 10\u00d710 village tour. Over a period of varying length, a projection team will visit ten villages located between 50 and 150 km from a base town. Each village will play host to the CNA ten times, showing 10 different African films. The films are accompanied by events and debates.<\/p>\n

Programme 2017-2021<\/em> Africalia: Africalia supports the development of skills in associative, administrative and financial management; the training of facilitators and technicians; and the decentralisation of culture through dissemination in rural areas in Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n

Programme 2022-2026 :<\/em> Africalia assists and supports the organisation in (1) strengthening associative governance and networking cultural players, (2) advocacy, (3) professionalising skills, (4) producing quality cultural and artistic works, (5) disseminating works more widely and (6) generating income.<\/p>\n
