Partner of FESPACO<\/a> Africalia has been supporting the festival for many years, helping to promote African cinema. As part of this 25th edition, which took place from 25\/02 to 4\/03 in Ouagadougou, Africalia invites you to the following activities:<\/p>\n

28 FEBRUARY 2017 - AFRICALIA EVENT <\/h2>\n

- 16:00: Africalia press conference<\/strong> at the NAC Village in the Maquis du Festival (Cit\u00e9 An III, 300m from Cin\u00e9 Neerwaya). On this occasion, the new 2017-2021 Multiannual Programme will be presented to you.<\/p>\n

- 6.30pm: Screening of films by students from theISIS-SE<\/a><\/strong> at Gounghin ex-sector 08 on the Camara LAYE site (near the Fleuve du Faso maquis). This session is co-organised and led by Mobile Digital Cinema<\/a> and ISIS-SE, two of Africalia's partners.<\/p>\n

2 MARCH 2017, 15:00-17:00 - MASTERCLASS ISIS-SE \/ AFRICALIA WITH ALAIN GOMIS <\/h2>\n

As a long-standing partner, Africalia is joining forces with theISIS-SE<\/a> (Institut de l'Image et du Son - Studio Ecole) to present the masterclass on \"Directing a feature film in the digital age: approach\/evolution, aesthetics, constraints and opportunities for a young director\" led by Alain Gomis at ISIS-SE (01 BP 647 Ouagadougou).<\/p>\n

Alain Gomis is a renowned Franco-Senegalese director. Golden Stallion at FESPACO 2013 with \"Tey\", he returns with his new film \"F\u00e9licit\u00e9\", which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Berlinale 2017 and was selected for FESPACO 2017.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"CULTURE AT HEART IN AFRICA <\/h2>\n

This audiovisual installation plunges you into the creative world of Burkina Faso. Two of Africalia's partners, the CDC-La termiti\u00e8re<\/a> and the Ambulant Digital Cinema Africa<\/a>They welcome you into their daily activities. Join them for a dance rehearsal and a film screening in a village near Ouagadougou.<\/p>\n

This travelling work will be placed in a different location in Ouagadougou each day.<\/p>\n

EXCHANGES BETWEEN PROFESSIONALS <\/h2>\n

As part of its Multiannual Programme, Africalia promotes exchanges between partners. This year, Yirgashewa Teshome Amare (Director of the Ethiopian International film festival<\/a>) and Ganza Buroko (Director of the Congo International Film Festival \"CIFF<\/a>) will be present at FESPACO and will take part in several working meetings.<\/p>\n
