Dance Trust Zimbabwe (DTZ) is an association that encompasses several projects linked to contemporary dance in Harare. It is home to the Tumbuka Dance company; the Outreach Project, which provides access to dance training for young people in the suburbs; the Dance Foundation Course (DFC) and the National Ballet, all three of which are based at the Ballet Centre.

The Dance Foundation Course is for young people with a passion for dance and the performing arts, who are keen to make contemporary dance their profession and are prepared to undertake an intensive three-year training course. The training programme is comprehensive and incorporates regular collaborations and productions with other dance groups and choreographers in the region. The good reputation of the DFC programme has led to collaborations in Mozambique and Malawi.

2012-2014 programme: Africalia mainly supports the Dance Foundation Course (DFC), which teaches dance and show production to 15 young dancers over 3 years.
