{"id":18245,"date":"2024-06-18T10:16:46","date_gmt":"2024-06-18T08:16:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/africalia.be\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=18245"},"modified":"2025-06-12T18:53:30","modified_gmt":"2025-06-12T16:53:30","slug":"call-for-films-fespaco-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/africalia.be\/en\/appel-a-films-fespaco-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"CALL FOR FILMS \u2013 FESPACO 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the 29<sup>e\u00a0<\/sup>planned edition of\u00a0<strong>February 22 to 1<sup>er<\/sup>\u00a0March 2025<\/strong>, FESPACO informs cinema and audiovisual professionals that registrations for the official selection of films are open from February 29 to September 30, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The selection includes two main sections:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>The official competition section reserved for films by African and diaspora directors with the following categories:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>feature-length fiction: minimum duration of 60 minutes;<\/li>\n<li>feature-length documentary: minimum duration of 60 minutes;<\/li>\n<li>FESPACO Shorts (short fiction and documentary): duration between 1 min and 35 min;<\/li>\n<li>fiction or documentary from film schools: duration between 3 minutes and 15 minutes;<\/li>\n<li>FESPACO Series: two (02) consecutive episodes of 52 minutes each or three (03) consecutive episodes of 26 minutes each or six (06) consecutive episodes of 13 minutes each;<\/li>\n<li>animated films: duration between 1 min and 35 mins.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The out-of-competition section open to films by filmmakers from around the world:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Panorama<\/li>\n<li>Focus on diversity<\/li>\n<li>Sukab\u00e8 (youth program)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not be more than two (02) years old as of December 31, 2024;<\/li>\n<li>Not having been presented during a previous edition of FESPACO;<\/li>\n<li>Not having been screened in Burkina Faso.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any registration for the selection is made\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fespaco.bf\/formulaire-inscription-des-films\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">by clicking<\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and implies full acceptance of the registration conditions and the regulations of the 29<sup>e<\/sup>\u00a0editing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration is subject to payment of registration fees which amount to fifty (50) Euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NB<\/strong>\u00a0: the deadline for registrations is set\u00a0<strong>as of September 30, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>INFORMATION:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:inscription@fespaco.bf\">inscription@fespaco.bf<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:programmation@fespaco.bf\">programmation@fespaco.bf<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dans le cadre de la 29e\u00a0\u00e9dition pr\u00e9vue du\u00a022 f\u00e9vrier au 1er\u00a0mars 2025, le FESPACO porte \u00e0 la connaissance des professionnels du cin\u00e9ma et de l\u2019audiovisuel que les inscriptions pour la s\u00e9lection officielle des films sont ouvertes du 29 f\u00e9vrier au 30 septembre 2024.
