The main aim of the project is to encourage the promotion and distribution of African films in Africa. Cinetoile is a project set up by Africalia and funded by the European Commission. The Cinetoile project is based on the principle of enhancing the prestigious works of African cinema and recognizing them as elements of cultural heritage as well as tools for dialogue between peoples. The project is to strengthen the capacities and strategies of operators in the field. It is an investment in human resources to promote access to local cultures, as well as the protection and promotion of cultural diversity.
